During the early days of the COVID-19 pandemic, this Faraway Nearby project—named after Georgia O'Keeffe's sign-off on some of her letters to friends—was a way to ensure I saw my friends when it was sometimes easier to resign myself to the confines of home. The experience was unexpectedly and deeply connective, providing a welcome exercise in gratitude.
